Performance practice · Process improvement
Operational excellence consulting in the UAE.
Scorecards report performance; processes produce it, and your customers only ever meet the process. This practice works where the numbers come from: the order that takes too long, the hand-off that breeds errors, the defect that keeps returning. We map, improve and stabilise the processes your performance reporting can only describe.
The improvement disciplines
Fix the process at cause, not the symptom at hand.
None of these methods is exotic; all of them fail when applied as slogans. Business process optimisation, value stream mapping and root-cause work are disciplines, not deliverables. We apply them on your processes, with your people, until the operational efficiency holds without us, and continuous improvement carries on as ordinary practice rather than a service the organisation has to keep buying.
| Method | What it involves | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Process mapping | End-to-end and swimlane mapping of work as it truly runs, across every hand-off, rather than as the procedure describes it. | The real process becomes visible: the rework loops, the waiting, the undocumented workarounds. |
| Kaizen | Continuous-improvement routines owned by the teams doing the work, structured so they outlast the workshop that launched them. | Improvement becomes a habit of the operation, not an event on the calendar. |
| Lean Six Sigma | Lean and Six Sigma methods applied to defect reduction, waste elimination and cycle-time improvement, at the depth the problem warrants. | Variation and waste are measured and removed rather than tolerated and worked around. |
| Root-cause analysis | Structured investigation of recurring problems until the cause is found, tested and closed. | Problems stop being repeatedly worked around and start being permanently resolved. |
| Quality-control gates | Checks placed at the hand-offs where errors originate, not at the end of the line where they are expensive to find. | Defects are caught where they are made, before they compound downstream. |
The staged approach
Diagnose, map, improve, embed.
Every engagement is scoped to the processes that matter, not to the whole organisation at once. The stages are deliberately unglamorous, because that is what improvement work is:
Diagnose
Where performance is lost: which processes, which hand-offs, which defects. Evidence from the operation, not opinion from a workshop.
Map
The selected processes mapped end to end as they run in practice, swimlanes across departments, with the gaps between procedure and reality made explicit.
Improve
Root causes closed, waste removed, control gates placed where errors originate. Changes tested in the live operation, not proposed in a slide.
Embed
Improvement routines, operating measures and ownership handed to the teams that run the process, so the gains survive our departure and the next staff change.
Roles are explicit: our practitioners map, analyse and coach; your teams own the processes and run the improvements. Improvement done to a team rather than with it rarely survives the month.
Typical deliverables
What an engagement typically produces.
Configured to scope; a proposal states exactly which apply.
- Process maps (as-is and to-be)
- Bottleneck and defect analysis
- Improvement backlog with owners
- Root-cause analysis records
- Control-gate definitions
- Capability handover pack
Is this the right service?
Right when the process is the problem.
- A specific process is slow, error-prone or generating complaints and rework.
- Defects recur despite repeated fixes because causes are never closed.
- A quality management system (QMS) exists on paper while the processes beneath it underperform.
- You need the strategy layer first: Strategy & Performance builds the cascade and measures.
- The requirement is a certificate: ISO 9001 delivers the certified system.
- Improvement stalls because skills are missing: Competence & Capability.
Scope boundary
Implementation ownership.
ExSolution diagnoses and redesigns processes, facilitates root-cause analysis and coaches implementation. Management approves redesigned processes, allocates resources, makes workforce and technology decisions, and owns implementation and operating results. We do not operate the process on the client's behalf or guarantee savings or performance outcomes.
Delivery
A named Engagement Lead.
The proposal names the Engagement Lead responsible for coordinating the operational excellence consultancy work, client communication and delivery. A second senior practitioner, not involved in day-to-day delivery, provides quality review. Team size is configured to scope: a single-process improvement is a different assignment from a site-wide programme.
How we work →Questions buyers ask
Straight answers.
Is this a training course in Lean or Six Sigma?
No. It is implementation: your processes mapped, your defects analysed, your controls placed. Capability transfer is built in, so your people learn the methods by applying them to their own work, but the engagement is judged on the process improving, not on certificates issued.
How does this relate to ISO 9001?
Closely. ISO 9001 requires the process approach, monitoring and continual improvement; this practice is the same discipline applied with more depth. Organisations often arrive because a QMS exists on paper while the processes underneath still underperform, and the improvement work strengthens the evidence that system depends on; see ISO 9001 consulting.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on the number of processes in scope and how quickly changes can be tested in the live operation. A focused single-process improvement typically runs a few months; embedding improvement routines across a larger operation takes longer. A timeline of weeks describes a workshop rather than embedded improvement.
